Hello, my name is Abubakar Abdullahi. I am a raising funds for my brother who has been suffering with his eye-sight for over two years now.Earlier in 2022 he reported to me of having severe pains in his left eye and we took him to Saint Mary hospital in Gwagwalada of FCT Abuja and he was given medication. We keep going to the hospital at least twice a month. Around November last year(2022), on one of his regular check ups, the doctors discover that the left eye is already damaged because of constant high pressure on the eye and that the effect has translated to the other eye(right). We keep up going to the hospital to save the sight of the remaining eye but at a point there was not fund for even transportation because the transportation from our place to the location of the hospital is over N5,000 to and fro per person, so there was no check up for period of about four months plus. In August this year the pains was much and he wasn't sleeping so we got a loan and took him back to the hospital for the check up and the St. Mary hospital referred us on 28 of Aug 2023 to Skipper hospital in Asokoro in Abuja where he was discovered that he has Retina attachment and he will be undergoing Retina and Cataract surgery. The doctors said it is urgent because delaying could damage the remaining eye. And the cost of surgery is N2,200,000 (Two million two hundred thousand naira).My brother is already blind in his left eye and no surgery in the world can bring back the vision of the left eye. Only on the right eye he may see again if urgent surgery is done on him, as it stand he can not walk by himself without assistance from someone holding his hands.We cannot bear seeing him go blind completely, please help us by donating and sharing this campaign.
