In April 2025, Ƙhadijah Abdulrahman’s life changed completely when she was diagnosed with choriocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. What began as a painful health concern quickly turned into a long, emotional, and financially draining battle for survival.Ƙhadijah started chemotherapy at LASUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital) in May 2025 and has since completed four tough rounds. Through it all, she has remained strong, prayerful, and hopeful. However, after a follow-up CT scan, doctors discovered that the disease had progressed, the cancer cells had grown resistant to the treatment.To be certain of what they were treating, doctors carried out another biopsy, after which a new chemotherapy regimen was planned. This next stage is her only hope of remission, but she has completely exhausted her savings from months of treatment, tests, medications, and hospital visits.Ƙhadijah’s next chemotherapy cycle is due on Monday, 13th October 2025, and she urgently needs ₦400,000 per cycle to continue treatment. She is expected to undergo four new cycles before another review, after which post-treatment monitoring will follow.This phase of her journey is critical.
