My story begins in 2020, the Covid year.My partner and I were in school living together. We couldn't go home, because that was the year we ʼbroke freeʼ from our respective unsupporting families.Surviving in school was difficult, they were days where we'd drink just garri and eat just bololo indomie and sleep.We wouldn't even eat some days. but We’d rather go through all that, than go home.😩I had my first episode in April(or March)of that year.I remember the doctor telling me that there is nothing to worry about, that I wasn't epileptic, that my episode was triggered by low blood sugar and a very high BP. That I should eat more healthily😩 and stop stressing.Then I had another episode. And apparently it takes at least two episodes and at least one without a known cause to confirm if someone was epileptic😪And that's how my Journey started, started with daily doses of epileptic and high blood pressure medications, that got increased as the weeks and months went by, as I've never been able to afford proper consultation with a neurologist.In all this my Dad and family haven't even provided financial support😓 I remember being so broke(in 2021) that I no choice than to go home and complain to them about their lack of support and they said they can't afford my daily meds(which was 22k monthly as at 2021).My Dad told me that "since we don try English, make we try God" he asked to take me to see 'a man of God' that will "cure me and render me whole" 🥹I knew it was all fugazi. But in other not to sound "woke"...I followed him and my stepmom to the man.The man spoke in tongues for close to 30minutes and gave me a liquid mixture to drink and bath with every morning and evening and said to completely stop my epileptic medications😩 and that I'll come back and testify to the power of God..And that was how I had my first CONFUSION SPELL😪When I narrated what happened to the doctor. He was distraught. He made me understand that I couldn't just stop my medications. That even if I wanted to, I would have to do it slowly. That I could have died😓Months passed, and with further time I started to understand how it all works. But the emotional and psychological turmoil I was(I still am tbf) in, was unprecedented.I had a major episode in May/June 2022, where I was unconscious for 2weeks+😔But it comes to now, due to the unwavering support of my partner, we were able to reduce the number of my episodes to 3-5 Annually.But since July till now I have had over 17 different episodes😓Ranging from full blown jerking, confusion spells and emotional imbalance. I'm currently feeling an ache on the left side of my head( it sometimes shifts to my right) and a certain faint numbness on the right side of my body. 😞😓Hence the need for this campaign.I'm looking to raise the sum of 9 million Naira. That will be used for proper neurological testing and care/therapy, getting me polaroid eyeglasses(due to my photosensitivity)....Part of the money will be used to get me 24 month supply of my daily Meds(which at the last time I bought was over 60k a month now😪) and provisions as well, until I'm done learning my Data science and being eligible for a job.I deserve a fair shot at life, and with y'all support we can make this happen.Please help share and donate as nothing is too little.Thank you for your support 🫂❤️#EpilepsyAwareness
